In a nutshell, FARMY® is about the importance of food and the support of the independent farmer. Through foundation projects FARMY hopes to inspire a consciousness that reminds us of how wasteful we've become as a society.  FARMY is also just as much about Art and the cultivation of good stuff in general. FARMY is not every other charity in the world's cliché mission statement, because FARMY is not all about money like everything else in the world. Life has been taking the back seat while money has been driving for a little too long.   It's almost like The Night of the Living Dead out there at times.  When Pokemon cards cost more than apples something's obviously way off. Problems are usually more than self evident~and the solutions just as simple. Simple as admitting that no one seems to be taking the time to notice, or stands to loose a little security or money. FARMY is about helping people remember the total joy (and relief) in once in a while saying out loud: "Maybe I was wrong about that."

   By placing adverts for restaurants, grocers and farm stands side by side, the “local menu hub” idea creates a sort of birds eye view of more diverse meal~time possibilities. In theory, the hope is to remind people that an apple and slice of Brie from their local farm market is just as easy and convenient as the fast food drive-thru more often than they might think.

   In the not too distant future farmy.com plans to also be maintaining a functioning database for farms and farmer's markets. We hope to be able to help pick up where green minded fund-raising charities like Farm-Aid leave off, and be able to donate substantially to a FARMY foundation (let's just say "for the preservation of self-sufficiency, intelligence, independence, and freedom in general"~for now.) If this sounds vague~it’s because we don't want to be your typical aren'twesuchheros enterprise type charities, that are usually more about show than substance. No romanticizing stereotypes to form superficial alliances for farmy. We're gonna be willing to take a risk, and stick our necks out and say the things everybody's afraid to say (hopefully without sounding too over the top-but sometimes that's exactly what's called for). We plan on actually getting our hands dirty.  FARMY is also committed to it's Curing Poverty Project which has to do with discovering ways to discuss all the truly ironic reasons for poverty in the first place.

   There's a war going on out there that has more to do with bravery in the face of stupidity than in the face of honor. Nobody's talking pitchfork militias...It would seem it kinda makes sense that the most intelligent people would be  inclined to grow their own food anyway.....and always be in search of the stuff that allows us to  prey from a state of contentment rather than a state of desperate pleading. Fer sure everybody wishes they were a farmer at least for a second, once in a while.  Farmy is about being brave. FARMY is about sticking a neck out once in a while.

   FARMY is also a sort of societal IQ examination. Measuring the ability of a community to recognize the birth of a good idea against it's own inabilities, oblivion, and all around-miseryquota in general. (Not to be too current eventy, but the Martha Stewart sensationalism is a perfect example of how hate-ful "business" has become (perhaps always has been) as people are not only allowing the woman to become closer and closer to an actual jail cell, , they're thoroughly enjoying the entertainment of it all, believing in prisons as  their  growth industry future.  Numbers games. The karma of Corporate Lemmingism. (...Bow down before the one you serve, you're going to get what you deserve...sort of thing.
